The Hotel La Riba located in an incomparable place, surrounded with forest, mountains and water. This hotel allows his clients to fully enjoy the natural environment offering calmness, comfort and playful – sports activities.
The Hotel La Riba has a long tradition in the region, coming from the country seat of Font’s family which was also the hostel of the old village, nowadays plunged under the waters of the dam of Sau.
The Hotel is 23 km far from Vic, belongis to the municipality of Vilanova de Sau, located in the midst of Les Guilleries and within the tourist environment of Vall de Sau – Collsacabra.

16 gener de 2010Next winter La Riba will put in functioning a heat plant (obtaining energy from wood splinter combustion). This energy more clean, allow to optimize the forest resources, cooperating with the nature preservation.

Domus del Pi: archaeological excavation
In these days, there is a new interest about archaeological area of Vilanova de Sau. The domus del Pi is located in the top of Puig d’en Riba hill, belonging to the municipality of Vilanova de Sau, 100 m. far from Sant Romà church, nowadays plunged under the waters of the dam of Sau.
Route: La Riba - Tavertet - La Riba
This route is not much long (7Km) but it climbs steeply to the cliffs (it goes up 400 metres in a distance of only 1,6 km). There are GR-2 signals in most part of the route. From up above the Tavertet cliffs we can enjoy a great view of the Sau valley. It is worthwhile visiting the small and charming town of Tavertet.
